Government's inaciton on Infrastructure

UPA government's inaction on the execution of the Golden quadrilateral and North South corrodors has put India's Infrastructure development back by a decade. The dis-interest of the Government is surprising since it would have gained tremendous mileage at the hustings as a government that can produce results and is focussed on taking India on the path of development. What is exasperating is that no new ideas on expediting the current projects have come out in this government's term.
What exactly is the achievement of the current government in the areas of core infrastructure which is so important to put India on the world map of fast developing countries. There are delays in every major infrastruture project currently underway. Is it lack of will or general inertia.
Yes there are achievements in the area of social initiatives and employment generation. Farm loan waiver and Employment generation schemes are worth mentioning. There were serious lacunae in the implementation of the farm waiver loan schemes since a lot of rich farmers too benefited under this scheme.
The less said about AP, the state i come from. There are irrigation projects, road projects and many other Infrastructure related projects. One is not sure about the funding of these projects to completion considering the revenue deficit the government is running. Will these project see light of the day.

Base dof Hyderabad i can say that the basic road infrstructure is pathetic, the state of the intercity roads is not worth mentioning.

Incidentally it is the congress that us ruling AP too. Can we conclude that Infrastructure and growth are not the priority items of congress lead governments ?
